The St. George Men’s Club has been an integral part of both the St. George School and the Church for over 35 years. The Club has seen a lot of change in the campus over the years and many new faces, but our objectives and spirit of teamwork remain a constant presence for our St. George community.
While the mission of the St. George Men’s Club is to generate funds to assist both the school and parish with maintenance projects throughout the school year, that’s only the beginning of the long list of activities the Men’s Club is involved with. We are active in almost every facet of the campus and community. You’ll find us serving up our delicious meals at the annual Parish Fair and Auction, as well as selling our famous chicken dinners after masses and our always popular Lenten Fish Fry every Friday. Prefer to swing a hammer instead of a spatula? Our monthly maintenance days provide an opportunity for us to sharpen our carpentry and crafting skills, as well as strengthening our friendships.
Fostering parish and community spirit and friendship is so intrinsic to our goals that it ought to be written into our mission. The Men’s Club is a vital ministry of the Parish providing essential services, yet at the same time, the support and fellowship that we provide to each other as Club members is inherent in all that we do. We are here to make a difference to the St. George community and in each other’s lives. We support and foster the spiritual, academic and excellent standards of the parish and school and consider ourselves as important role models for our community, families and each other.
The St. George Men’s Club has become a resource for the men of our parish community to become and stay involved with their faith community and their children’s school lives. Whether you are a father, grandfather, or not yet either, our organization welcomes and values your ideas and talents. We aim to offer St. George men the opportunity be a part of our rich culture, strong faith, and growing campus. Whether you enjoy cooking, helping to set up for the Fair, or socializing at our regular meetings, you’ll find something fun and rewarding, and will likely make lifelong friends.
We hope that you find a way to join with us as we build on the special place that is St. George.
