Christ, Community, & (organized) Chaos
Our Mission: Provide opportunities for middle school students to encounter Christ, form a community in faith with old and new friends alike, and enjoy the (organized) chaos of youth group!
What is this? Middle School Youth Group (MSYG) is where 6th-8th grade students can come to learn what it means to be Catholic, ask ALL their questions about their faith, play games for prizes, hang out with friends, make new friends, and all the while discover how incredible a relationship with God can be.
What do you do?
Our Middle School Youth Group typically meets twice a month forCREDO Nights. These are on Fridays from 6:00-8:00pm. We explore the ins and outs of Catholicism, using the prayers of our Faith as our framework, and often take rabbit trails to discuss the wacky and weird parts of Catholicism too!
Advance signup is encouraged to ensure that our chaos doesn't become too unorganized.

What does a typical CREDO Night look like?
We have dinner together (pizza is popular), followed by the cheesiest of icebreaker games because what is youth group for if not for cheesy games? Then we’ll go into our main content that consists of more structured activities including, but not limited to, presentations, Catholic Q&A sessions, crafts, Praise & Worship music, small groups, and so much more
This year we'll be mostly in the Kleinpeter Activity Center where there's plenty of room to play, learn, and be in community with one another!
MSYG Policies & Procedures:
Our Middle School Youth Group also, in normal circumstances, has a couple day-long retreats each year, we partner with other parishes for lock-ins and special events, and we participate in Diocesan wide events when they’re an option!
Our MSYG Patron Saints are St. Teresa of Calcutta & St. Thomas Aquinas. St. Teresa reminds us to do small things with great love, always endeavoring to grow in holiness through cheerful work, self giving, and constant faithfulness to God. St. Thomas reminds us to desire knowledge on our faith so that we can not just know of God, but truly know God.
