Our Mission: Give you a place where you can grow in faith, enjoy fellowship with old and new friends alike, and have fun while we’re at it!
What is this? High School Youth Group is where all high school students (9th-12th grade) can come to learn new things about their faith, form small groups and Bible studies, play games for prizes, hang out with friends, make new friends, and all the while discover how incredible a relationship with God can be.
What do you do? We have a variety of events. Our youth group is a hybrid group right now, which means we do both virtual and in-person events (and some that are mixed) in order to accommodate all comfort levels regarding COVID-19 and related worries. From game nights to movie nights to Bible studies and weekly prayer opportunities, there’s something for everyone!
Join our Virtual Youth Group!
We have our own Discord Server - it's called the Guild of St. George - and it’s easy to join:
3. After you join, I'll ask you for a little bit of verification information and give you full access to all our channels and chats. Welcome!
What does our Virtual Youth Group do?
Nightly Prayer twice a week! On Sundays & Wednesdays we gather in a voice channel at 10:00pm to pray together and end our days in conversation with God.
Faith Sharing & Fun Nights! These are hybrid events (attend virtually OR in-person) and through Discord voice/video chat you can join us for an evening of prayer, games, discussion, and more from the comfort of your own house. These are twice a month on Sunday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm.
Virtual Game & Movie Nights! A couple times a month we’ll do either an entirely virtual game night (JackBox games are popular) or we’ll do a movie night together, where we choose a movie from Netflix or Disney+, set a time to start it, and watch it from our own homes/accounts while joining in live commentary on Discord along with post-movie discussion time.
Daily community building! Our server is home to ongoing games, theological discussions, prayer request submission opportunities, sharing of memes, and so much more. It’s a place where high school students can find a safe place to rejoice in their Catholicism and seek to lead one another closer to Christ.
In-Person Events!
We are excited to be meeting in-person again after taking such a long break. At all in-person events we do require face coverings be worn and social distancing guidelines are followed to the best of our ability.
Our events include:
Faith Sharing & Fun nights: These take place on Sunday Evenings from 7:00-8:30pm, and are hosted in the Kleinpeter Activity Center (KAC).
Game Nights: One a month we have game nights, on either a Thursday or Friday, from 6:30-8:30pm in the Kleinpeter Activity Center. Whether it’s scavenger hunts, trivia, improv games, or whatever weird, wacky ideas our team comes up with, these nights are a time to laugh with your friends and win prizes!
Special Events! Specific details will be posted for any and all special events.
Our High School Youth Group Patron Saints are Our Lady of Grace, Pope St. John Paul II, and St. Catherine of Alexandria. Our Lady of Grace intercedes for our youth group, reminding us of God’s love and His constant outpouring of graces to each of our hearts. Pope St. John Paul II calls us to holiness, calls us to know that we should not be afraid to be holy but that we should embrace holiness today and be the Saints of TODAY. St. Catherine of Alexandria reminds us to be bold, be brave, and share our faith with those around us.
