Pastor's Message
 

Dear Friends,

An image often used at St. George is that of the oak tree whose roots are firmly in the earth and whose branches reach towards the heavens. I think that image aptly fits our community. For more than 115 years, St. George has been firmly rooted in the South Baton Rouge area, beginning as a mission of the St. Joseph Cathedral.

In all we do, in every area of ministry and service, in all of our worship and prayer, we "keep our eye on Jesus Christ" and in his name serve our brothers and sisters who live in the community of Baton Rouge.

Our church offers many opportunities for you to express your faith and deepen your prayer life with the Lord.

God continues to bless St. George Church and School in so many ways. From that deep sense of gratitude we seek to live the Christian life through the Catholic Church.
